Malone’s Nate Tarter Chosen as GLIAC Men's Golf "Athlete of the Week"

BAY CITY, Mich. - Malone University senior Nate Tarter (Mogadore, Ohio/Mogadore) has been chosen as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's (GLIAC) Men's Golf "Athlete of the Week."

Malone University senior Nate Tarter paced the Pioneers to a team title among a 29-team field at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional last weekend. At the par-71 Elks Run Golf Course, in Batavia, Ohio, Tarter posted a three-under-par first round of 68 and followed that up with a one-under 70 on day two for a -4 total of 138 to earn overall medalist honors at the event.  He helped the Pioneers to a 578 (+10) two-day total to capture the tournament title, defeating the runner-up by an impressive 18 strokes.
