Five GLIAC Men's Golf Programs Headed to Super Regionals

NCAA -- Five Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) men's golf programs have qualified for the upcoming NCAA Central/Midwest Regional. The Meadows at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan will host the event scheduled May 2-4, 2016.

The two-time defending conference champion Tiffin Dragons lead the GLIAC as the No. 3 seed, with Grand Valley State earning the No. 4 spot in the region. Northwood, Northern Michigan and Ferris State occupy the next three positions and round out the five league programs to qualify for the "Super Regional."

Individually, Malone junior and 2016 GLIAC Medalist Jake Troyer qualified for the event as the top-ranked player in the region.

Each NCAA regional is comprised of 20 teams. The top five finishers advance to the NCAA Championship, slated for May 17-21 at Green Valley Ranch in Denver. Northern Michigan has never qualified for the NCAA Championship.
