TIFFIN COLLECTS BACK-TO-BACK TITLES AT 2016 GLIAC MEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP
NASHPORT, Ohio -- Tiffin University captured the 2016 GLIAC Men's Golf Championship by one stroke over Grand Valley State University to give the Dragons the title for the second consecutive season. TU finished the 54-hole event with four individuals inside the top 10 with Brett Green leading the way in sixth place with a +7 total in relation to par. John Tidenberg and Jay Green tied for seventh position at +8 for the week, while Luke Schlicher earned a tie for 10th at +9 for the championship. GVSU finished one-stroke back of Tiffin thanks to a bogey-free Sunday 68 from Alex Scott who found himself tied for the top spot at the conclusion of 54 holes with Malone's Jake Troyer at even-par. Troyer defeated Scott in a sudden death playoff on the 18th hole with a par to capture 2016 GLIAC Men's Golf Championship Medalist honors at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio.
