Full NCAA Regional Rankings

NCAA.com -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has five programs headed to 2017 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Superior Regionals at Awarii Dunes in Axtell, Nebraska. Grand Valley State is the No. 2 seed coming off their GLIAC Championship one week ago as the Lakers look to use that momentum as a springboard to a trip to the national finals in Florida. Ferris State (No. 5), Saginaw Valley (No. 6) and Wayne State (No. 7) all cemented their spots in the postseason with Tiffin earning the final at-large position at No. 9.

Hillsdale's Joel Pietila also is headed to Nebraska as an individual following his victory at the 2017 GLIAC Men's Golf Championship last week. Pietila racked up three victories during the 2016-17 season, including impressive wins against strong fields at the GLIAC Championship, Motor City Invite and the Kyle Ryman Memorial.

At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional (regardless of region) will advance to the finals May 22-26, at Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, Florida. The remaining eight team berths will be allocated based on the regions represented in the prior year’s medal-match portion of the championships, with the maximum number of teams from a given region capped at seven. The finals will be hosted by the Sunshine State Conference and Central Florida Sports Commission.
