Saginaw Valley's Savage Named GLIAC Men's Soccer "Athlete of the Week"

BAY CITY, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University junior mid fielder Lachlan Savage (Canton, Mich./Plymouth Salem) earned GLIAC Men's Soccer "Athlete of the Week" honors after he posted a pair of pivotal game winning goals this past weekend.

Saginaw Valley State junior midfielder Lachlan Savage posted a pair of pivotal game winning goals against Northwood University and Tiffin University this weekend as the Cardinals improved to 8-2-2 in the GLIAC and currently sit in first place in the conference. Against Northwood on Friday (Oct. 19), Savage found the back of the net for the game winner off of a diving header with just :30 seconds left to play in the double overtime contest. Savage now has eight goals on the year, which is second best on the team and third best in the conference.
