The Field is Set For the 2013 GLIAC Men's Soccer Tournament

BAY CITY, Mich. - The 2013 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) men's soccer tournament begins today (Tuesday, Nov. 5) with the two quarterfinal matches being played on campus sites.  The six-team tournament features byes for the top two seeds.

Ohio Dominican University and Tiffin University are the 2013 GLIAC Men's Soccer Co-Champions, after each team finished the GLIAC regular season with 30 points. Ohio Dominican claimed the postseason tiebreaker over Tiffin, thus earning the top seed in the GLIAC Tournament and the right to host the semifinals and final, this Friday (Nov. 8) and Sunday (Nov. 10).

Saginaw Valley State University earned the tournament's No. 3 seed and will play host to the No. 6 seed, Walsh University today at 2:00 p.m.

The second GLIAC Tournament quarterfinal matchup will feature the No. 5 seed, Northwood Univesrity, visiting the No. 4 seed, Lake Erie College, today at 2:00 p.m.

As the No. 1 seed, The Panthers will play the winner of the Saginaw Valley State/Walsh match up in the second semifinal contest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Second-seeded Tiffin will face the winner of the Lake Erie/Northwood clash at 4:00 p.m. in the first semifinal on Friday.

The GLIAC Tournament Championship match will be played on Sunday (Nov. 10) at 1:00 p.m. at Panther Field on the campus of Ohio Dominican University.
