BAY CITY, Mich. - Walsh University senior Chris Lynch (Bellbrook, Ohio/Bellbrook) and Lake Erie College sophomore Filip Ljubevski (Ajax, Ontario/Pikering) earned GLIAC Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive "Athlete of the Week" awards, respectively.

Walsh Univeristy senior Chris Lynch scored three goals in a 4-2 win over Findlay on Sunday afternoon. The first goal came on a throw-in from the right side and saw Lynch jump up and head the ball into the right side of the goal to give Walsh a 1-0 lead at 6:47. His second goal was on a nearly identical setup, but this time Lynch headed the ball into the left side of the net for a 3-0 lead. After the Oilers scored late in the second half to make the score 3-2, Lynch put the game away with a hard shot from near the top right corner of the box to left side of the goal 21 seconds later.

Men's Soccer "Defensive Athlete of the Week":

Lake Erie College sophomore goal keeper Filip Ljubevski recorded two shutouts as the Storm went 1-0-1 on the weekend. Against Saginaw Valley State University Friday, Ljubevski made nine saves to preserve a draw for the Storm. Against Northwood University on Sunday, Ljubevski made six saves, including two in OT as the Storm won 1-0.
