BAY CITY, Mich. - Tiffin University sophomore Karl Jones (Huddersfield, England/Rastrick) and sophomore Oliver Verdult (Solihull, England/Solihull) earned GLIAC Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive "Athlete of the Week" awards, respectively.

Tiffin University sophomore Karl Jones scored half of the Dragons’ goals on the week as TU went 3-0 and currently resides in a first place tie with Ohio Dominican. Jones scored the gamewinner in a 1-0 double overtime victory over Malone, then scored the tying goal in the 64th minute of a eventual 2-1 win over Walsh.

Tiffin University sophomore Oliver Verdult led the Dragons’ defense as they posted two shutouts in their 3-0 week. Tiffin shutout Lake Erie 1-0, beat Malone 1-0 in double overtime, and then defeated Walsh 2-1. The Dragons allowed a total of just 13 shots on goal over the three games and outshot their opponents 76-31 for the week.
