Tiffin Men's Soccer Earns Four Postseason Awards, LEC's Carmichael Coach of the Year

BAY CITY, Mich. – The Tiffin's men's soccer team swept the player categories for the 2014 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men's Soccer postseason awards. Tiffin's Andrew Landell and Samuel Oki were named Offensive and Defensive "Player of the Year", while the Dragons' Daniel Fallon was named "Freshman of the Year." Tiffin's Jeremy Ashley was voted "Goalkeeper of the Year", while Lake Erie's Davie Carmichael was tabbed GLIAC "Coach of the Year".

Andre Landell led the GLIAC in numerous offensive categories, including goals (14), assists (7), and points (35), helping lead the Dragons to the GLIAC regular season championship. He also was the top scorer on the GLIAC's top offensive team, as the Dragons led the conference in goals and assists while averaging 2.5 goals per game.

Samuel Oki helped lead a strong defensive unit that posted the second best Goals Against Average in the conference (0.74) while allowing just 12 goals all season. The defense also allowed only 69 shots on goal over 16 games, a miniscule 4.3 shots on goal per game.

Daniel Fallon had two goals and three assists for seven points while starting all 16 regular season games for the GLIAC Champion Dragons. He was fifth in scoring for the Dragons' GLIAC-leading offensive attack, as the team led the conference with 40 goals scored.

Jeremy Ashley led the conference in wins (12) and shutouts (8) and was second in the GLIAC in goals allowed, goals against average, and save percentage while posting a miniscule 0.74 GAA and shattering the school record for lowest GAA in a season for the second consecutive year.

Davie Carmichael led the Storm to their best season to date, 11-4-2, in his fourth season at the helm.  Carmichael also helped the Storm finish the season on an eight game winning, including shutouts against Saginaw Valley, Tiffin and Northwood.  In 2014, the Storm won three more games than the previous season and scored 11 more goals.  The Storm defense ranks 12th in Division-II in goals allowed per game at .63.
