KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Northwood and Saginaw Valley State switched positions once again in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Men's Soccer Rankings. Northwood improved to No. 11 after a 1-0 victory over Saginaw Valley State who fell to No. 19. The Timberwolves defeated the Cardinals last Friday on a Jack Smith free kick that snuck into the top corner of the goal to give NU their first-ever GLIAC Men's Soccer Championship.
With the victory, Northwood will play host to the 2015 GLIAC Men's Soccer Tournament as the top seed and Saginaw Valley will be the No. 2 seed. Lake Erie and Tiffin will be the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds, respectively.
