Official D2 CCA All-Region Release
QUINCY, Ill. – Tiffin University senior forward Andre Landell has been named the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2 CCA) Midwest Region Player of the Year, headlining a group of 26 players named to the All-Midwest Region teams. The D2 CCA Player of the Year award and all-region teams are nominated and selected by the region's sports information directors. Both Saginaw Valley State and Tiffin earned four all-region honorees each.
Landell led the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) in goals with 15 and was second in the conference assists and points. He was named the 2016 GLIAC Offensive Player of the Year, an award he also claimed in 2014. Landell ranks in the top 15 in Division II and goals and points. He is a four-time All-GLIAC selection and was previously named an NSCAA All-American. Landell helped the Dragons win the GLIAC Tournament Championship and attain the No. 2 seed in the Midwest Regional.
Joining Landell on the D2 CCA All-Midwest Region first team are Davis & Elkins' Lukas Grosse-Puppendahl (B); Drury's David Cross (B) and Antoine Vial (M); Missouri S&T's Felipe Andrade (F); Quincy's Taylor Reis (MF); Rockhurst's Gianluca Bottoni (MF), Kaleb Jackson (MF) and Connor Mullen (B); Saginaw Valley State's Andrew Dalou (MF), Tyler Stephens (B) and Matt Wilson (F); and Southern Indiana's Adam Zehme (GK).
The all-region second team is comprised of Alderson Broaddus' Shavon John-Brown (F); Missouri-St. Louis' Joe Rund (B); Ohio Dominican's Ryan Kasprzak (F); Ohio Valley's Camilo Sarmiento (B); Rockhurst's Evan Craig (B) and Logan Feldmann (GK); Saginaw Valley State's Troy Watson (MF); Southern Indiana's Eric Ramirez (F); Kyle Richardville (MF) and Michael Sass (B); and Tiffin's Michael Bottomley (MF), Scott Byrom (MF) and Michael McPeek (F).
