Davenport's Shrimpton, Purdue Northwest's David Collect GLIAC Men's Soccer Weekly Accolades

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following Week 2 of the 2017 men's soccer season. Davenport junior forward Brogan Shrimpton earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades for the second straight week, while Purdue Northwest senior goalkeeper Miguel David claimed GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.


OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Brogan Shrimpton, Davenport

Davenport junior forward Brogan Shrimpton did not slow down in week 2 for Davenport as he scored four more goals in two matches this week to up his season total to eight. He scored a total of nine goals last season for the Panthers. He notched another hat trick in a 3-1 win over Alabama Huntsville, who had a win over No. 20 Florida Tech earlier this week. Four of his five shots on goal went into the net this week.


DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Miguel David, Purdue Northwest

Purdue Northwest goalkeeper Miguel David recorded five saves to record his second straight shutout of the season. He played all 110 minutes in goal in a 0-0 draw with Bethel College (Ind.) Saturday in the Pride's home opener.
