2018 GLIAC MEN'S SOCCER TOURNAMENT CENTRAL
GLIAC -- The start of the 2018 GLIAC Men's Soccer Tournament began with a pair of quarterfinal matches on Tuesday (Oct. 30) prior to the weekend rounds which will take place Nov. 2 & 4 on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Mich.
No. 4 Northwood prevailed over No. 5 Northern Michigan thanks to an Austin Hobbs rebounded that found that back of the net in the 61st minute that was enough to lift the Timberwolves to victory and a meeting with crosstown rival No. 1 Saginaw Valley on Friday at 11 AM.
No. 6 Ashland went on the road and earned a 1-0 win over No. 3 Purdue Northwest. The Eagles got the game-winning goal from Haruki Kimura at the 76:15 mark of the second half to advance to Friday's semifinal against No. 2 Parkside at 2 PM on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University.
