SVSU 22nd in United Soccer Coaches Men's Soccer Poll; Northwood Receiving Votes

KANSAS CITY, MO. — Only one Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) program is ranked inside the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) national men's soccer poll after two weeks of competition. Saginaw Valley improved two spots to No. 22 in this week's rankings, while Northwood is one spot outside the Top 25 after a close defeat to one of the top teams in the country.

SVSU improved its record to 2-0-2 after a scoreless draw against Lewis before posting a 1-0 victory over former conference power Tiffin. The Cardinals have allowed only one goal on the year, while scoring three of their own. Northwood dropped their last two matches and are now 2-2 on the year heading into conference play. The Timberwolves face Purdue Northwest and Davenport at home next weekend, while Saginaw Valley's lone match this week is at home Friday against conference newcomer Parkside.
