SVSU'S Rutz & UWP's Prpa Named to United Soccer All-America Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo -- Saginaw Valley State senior midfielder Connor Rutz and Parkside midfielder Leki Prpa have been named to the United Soccer Coaches Division II All-America Team. Rutz was awarded second-team honors, while Prpa was named to the third-team.

Connor led the GLIAC in goals with nine in the regular season and had three game-winning goals for SVSU. He finished second in the league with 23 points, just one point behind the regular season leaders. He led the Cardinals in shots (47) and shots on-goal (23) and had a shot on-goal percentage of .489. He led the team with five regular season assists as well. In postseason play, Rutz added a goal and an assist in two GLIAC Tournament matches, upping his 2019 total to 10 goals and six assists.

Prpa started in all 21 games for Parkside, tying for the team lead in assists (11) and second on the team in goals (7). At the conclusion of the regular season, he led the GLIAC in points with 24. The Wind Lake, Wis. native had an award filled season, highlighted by an All-GLIAC First Team selection and Academic All-American selection.
