GLIAC. -- The 2021 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Teams have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer program had two student-athletes represented, while Ashland Unversity had one standout selected in NCAA Division II District 4, which is comprised of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic, Great Lakes Valley and Great Midwest Athletic conferences. Junior defender Robbie Baker and Senior midfielder Alex Gloshen represented the Cardinals, while Senior forward Kieran Paterson represented the Eagles.

Robbie Baker was voted GLIAC Men's Soccer Defender of the Year and First Team All GLIAC, as he led an SVSU defense that allowed just seven goals in nine games, while teammate Alex Gloshen tallied 2 goals and 2 assists during his 2020-21 campaign.

Kieran Paterson earned All-GLIAC Second Team Honors and was selected Tournament MVP, as he led the Ashland Eagles to the 2021 GLIAC Tournament title. Paterson was the lead goal scorer for the Eagles, finding the back of the net seven times and tallying two assists.

The 2020-21 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
