Ivan Cizmar - Lake Erie College

Freshman -  Zagreb, Croatia

Freshman Ivan Cizmar (Zagreb, Croatia) went three-for-three in individual events for the fourth straight dual meet and has not lost an individual race all season.  Against Wheeling Jesuit Saturday, Cizmar won the 1000-yard freestyle (9:59.00), the 200-yard backstroke (1:49.69) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:51.12). The 1000-yard freestyle and 200-yard backstroke were both new Lake Erie records, with the 200-yard backstroke a more than two second improvement on the NCAA "B" Cut time Cizmar had set earlier in the season.  That time is currently over three seconds faster than the second-best time swam in the GLIAC this season, with Cizmar holding a top five spot in the other events.  The freshman was also part of the winning 200-yard medley relay Saturday with a time of 1:38.85.
