BAY CITY, Mich. -- The field for the 2017 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men's Tennis Tournament is finalized with action set to take place beginning this Friday, April 21 and the champion being crowed Sunday, April 23rd at the Greater Midland Tennis Center in Midland, Michigan.

The Ferris State Bulldogs captured their third consecutive GLIAC regular season championship following a perfect 9-0 league record, including 16-2 overall on the season. FSU is ranked No. 15 in the country and will head to the GLIAC Tournament as the No. 1 seed where they will receive a first-round bye. Till von Winning leads the Bulldogs into the championship currently ranked No. 16 individually throughout Division II. FSU won all but seven points out of 81 possible in nine league matches.

Grand Valley State earned the No. 2 seed in the conference after going 8-1 in league play with the lone setback coming at the hands of West Michigan rival Ferris State. The Lakers are 18-6 overall on the year and currently placed No. 3 in the D2 Midwest Regional rankings. The Lakers are currrently ranked No. 36 in the country and are led by sophomore Sebastien Lescoulie who posted an 8-1 conference singles record at the top spot and 6-2 in GLIAC doubles action. GVSU will have a first-round bye in the tournament.

Tiffin is the No. 3 seed with a record of 6-3 in conference play, while Wayne State earned the No. 4 seed with the same mark. Hillsdale completed its second season as a program and captured the No. 5 seed with the Northwood Timberwolves rounding out the field in the No. 6 position. Tiffin will battle Northwood while Wayne State matches up with Hillsdale in Friday's First Round in Midland.
