Ferris State's Iswan Earns GLIAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week Accolades

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its fifth men's tennis weekly awards for the 2018 campaign. Ferris State junior Nur Adim Ramdani Iswan has been named GLIAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week.


ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Nur Adim Ramdani Iswan, Ferris State

Ferris State junior standout Nur Adim Ramdani Iswan led the Bulldogs to three dominating wins last week as FSU wrapped up its annual spring break trip with a perfect mark. Iswan went 3-0 in singles action with all three victories coming in straight-sets while also winning all three of his doubles matches. He was a perfect 6-0 overall. Two of his three singles wins came at the number one flight as he moved up the lineup the final two days at the Spring TennisFest tournament with the other coming at two singles.
 
He also teamed up with senior Steward Sell to go unbeaten at the number one doubles flight. Their closest doubles contest was an 8-6 decision. His play helped FSU post back-to-back 8-1 wins over Newberry (S.C.) and Davis & Elkins on Tuesday and Wednesday before wrapping up the week with a 9-0 shutout over Assumption as FSU moved to 9-2 overall this season. Ferris State went 6-0 on the spring trip, including a 5-0 record at the Spring TennisFest.
