AU's 4x400 Relay Team and Quick Chosen As GLIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week"

BAY CITY, Mich. - Ashland University's 4x400 meter relay team and Ashland junior Richard Quick (Springfield, Ohio/North) have been chosen as the GLIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week."

GLIAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week:

 

 

Ashland University - 4x400 meter relay team
Keith Cleveland (So. Cleveland, Ohio/Shaker Heights)
Jacob Cook (So. Lima, Ohio/Allen East)
Cory Lamar (Jr. Wakeman, Ohio/Firelands)
Drew Windle (Fr. New Albany, Ohio)

The 4x400 relay team consisting of sophomore Keith Cleveland, sophomore Jacob Cook, junior Cory Lamar, and freshman Drew Windle finished first at the Golden Flash Gala with a time of 3:11.00. That time earned the squad an automatic qualification in the NCAA Championships and leads Division II by more than five seconds.

Springfield, Ohio/North

Junior Richard Quick earned an NCAA automatic qualification in the weight throw with a toss of 67-0.75. That throw earned him first place at the Kent State Golden Flash Gala.
