BAY CITY, Mich. - Northwood University senior Marcus Bennett (Redford, Mich./Thurston) and Grand Valley State University junior Donny Stiffler (Webberville, Mich./Williamston) have been chosen as the GLIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week."

Senior Marcus Bennett registered a NCAA provisional mark at the GVSU Holiday open, clocking a 8.21 in the 60 meter hurdles. He placed second overall and first among collegiate competitors. Bennett's time currently ranks him seventh on the NCAA Division II performance list.

Junior Donny Stiffler had a pair of top three finishes at the GVSU Holiday Open on Friday (Dec. 16). In the weight throw, Stiffler earned a third place finish with a toss of 56'1" and followed that up with a second place finish in the shot put with a throw of 54'0", an NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
