UF's Guagenti and TU's Pemberton Chosen As GLIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week"

BAY CITY, Mich. - University of Findlay senior John Guagenti (Bluffton, Ohio) and Tiffin University senior John Pemberton (Ironton, Ohio) have been chosen as the GLIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week."

John Guagenti had a hand in two first place finishes for the Oilers track team over the weekend at the Findlay Classic.  Guagenti finished first in the 400-meter dash, setting the Malcolm Athletic Center record with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 48.11.  He also teamed with Shawnathan Fort, Curtis Smithey and Tim Sanders to take the gold in the 4x400-meter relay with an NCAA provisional time of 3:19.66.

 

 

 

 

 

 

GLIAC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week:

 

 

John Pemberton - Tiffin University

Ironton, Ohio

John Pemberton shattered the school record at the Findlay Indoor Classic. Pemberton won the shot put with a toss of 57 feet, 3.5 inches. He also hit the NCAA Division II Provisional mark while breaking his own school record set last year and leading the Dragons to 57 top 10 finishes and nine additions to the top 10 list.
