GVSU's Larry Julson and Matt Armstrong Chosen As GLIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week"

BAY CITY, Mich. -   Grand Valley State University junior Larry Julson (Potterville, Mich.) and senior Matt Armstrong (Lansing, Mich./Sexton) have been chosen as the Great Lakes Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men's Indoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week."

Grand Valley State University junior Larry Julson finished fourth in the 3,000 meter run at the Mike Lints Alumni Open, his first meet of the season, completing the event in a time of 8:17.83. It was an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark and is the fifth-best 3,000 meter time in NCAA Division II so far this season.

Matt Armstrong - Grand Valley State University
Senior - Lansing, Mich./Sexton

Grand Valley State University sernior Matt Armstrong won the shot put at the Mike Lints Alumni Open with a toss of 17.74 meters (58'2.5"), an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark and the top shot put mark in NCAA Division II this year.
