NU's Rono and AU's Grey Chosen As GLIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week"

BAY CITY, Mich. -  Northwood University freshman Enock Rono (Eldoret, Kenya)  and The University of Ashland senior Garrett Grey (Grahamsville, N.Y./Tri-Valley Central) have been chosen as the GLIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week."

GLIAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week:


Enock Rono - Northwood University
Freshman-
Eldoret, Kenya

Northwood University freshman Enock Rono registered an NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark in the 800 meter run, clocking a time of 1:52.42 at the Bob Eubanks Open. His time earned him the victory in the event, beating out 22 other runners. His time currently ranks him second in the GLIAC and third nationally.

Garrett Grey - The University of Ashland
Senior - Grahamsville, N.Y./Tri-Valley Central

Ashland University senior Garrett Grey won the gold medal in the weight throw at Kent State’s Golden Flash Gala (Dec. 7-8). Grey led the field with a throw of 63-3.75. The senior is provisionally qualified for nationals.
