AU's Windle and UF's Taylor Chosen As GLIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week"

BAY CITY, Mich. -  Ashland University sophomore Drew Windle (New Albany, Ohio / New Albany) and The University of Findlay junior Taylor Miller (Waynesfield, Ohio) have been chosen as the GLIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week."

GLIAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week:


Drew Windle - Ashland University
Sophomore - New Albany, Ohio/New Albany

Ashland University sophomore Drew Windle won the 800 at Akron's Blue-Gold Invitational in 1:49.36. That is a school record, breaking a mark that stood for 41 years. That's also an automatic qualifier for nationals and it is the fastest time in the country. Windle is also part of AU's distance medley relay that owns the fastest time in the nation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

GLIAC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week:

 

 

Taylor Miller - The University of Findlay
Junior - Waynesfield, Ohio

University of Findlay junior Taylor Miller took fourth place in the elite shot put competition at the Findlay Open on Feb. 1 with a heave of 59’04.  Miller’s provisional toss is the best mark in all of NCAA Division II competition thus far.  The Waynesfield, Ohio native also finished sixth in the weight throw at 51’06.50.
