Lake Erie's Robinson and Ashland's Loughney Chosen As GLIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week"

BAY CITY, Mich. -  Lake Erie College senior Andre Robinson (Cleveland, Ohio/Notre Dame) and Ashland University senior Ryan Loughney (Grahamsville, N.Y./Tri-Valley) have been chosen as the GLIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week."

Andre Robinson - Lake Erie College
Senior -
Cleveland, Ohio/Notre Dame

Andre Robinson placed seventh in the 400-meter dash at the High Point University VertKlasse Meeting on Saturday, March 24.  Robinson ran a personal-best time of 48.39 seconds which is the fastest time to date in the conference during the outdoor season.   Robinson also ran on two relay teams (4x100 and 4x400) that posted season-best times at High Point. 

 

 

 

 

 

GLIAC Men's Outdoor Field "Athlete of the Week":

 

 

Ryan Loughney - Ashland University
Senior -
Grahamsville, N.Y./Tri-Valley

Loughney, fresh off a national champion indoors in the weight throw, finished fourth in hammer (221-3) at the University of South Carolina’s Weems Baskin Invitational.  Loughney had the top throw by a collegian.  First place in the event went to AU strength and conditioning coach AG. Kruger (247-7).  Loughney is the defending national champion in the hammer.
