Findlay's Bascal and Lake Erie's Dudley Chosen As GLIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week"

BAY CITY, Mich. -  University of Findlay junior Shoayb Bascal (Findlay, Ohio) and Lake Erie College sophomore Jamil Dudley (Massillon, Ohio) have been chosen as the GLIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week."

Shoayb Bascal finished third in the 10,000-meter run at the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn., finishing with a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 30:36.50.  The mark was also good enough to establish a new school record.

 

 

 

 

 

 

GLIAC Men's Outdoor Field "Athlete of the Week":

 

 

Jamil Dudley- Lake Erie College
Sophomore -
Massillon, Ohio

Jamil Dudley won the high jump at the University of Tennessee Sea Ray Relays on Saturday (April 14), clearing 7' 3 1/4" (2.22 meters), over 4 1/2" higher than the runner-up, Cory Vales from the University of Findlay.  It was his second best jump this season and third time in his career he has cleared 2.22 meters.  Dudley, the 2011 US Junior National Champion and a three-time All-American, has already automatically qualified for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships and has reached B Standards for the 2012 Olympic Trials.
