Hillsdale's Perkins and Ashland's Kreim Chosen As GLIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week"

BAY CITY, Mich. -  Hillsdale College senior Jerry Perkins (Dallas, Tex./Cambridge School) and Ashland University senior Tyler Kreim (Shelby, Ohio/Buckeye Central) have been chosen as the GLIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field "Athletes of the Week."

Jerry Perkins - Hillsdale College
Senior -
Dallas, Tex./Cambridge School

Charger distance runner Jerry Perkins ran a personal-best 1:51.43 in the 800 meter run Saturday at Vanderbilt University. He is currently ranked seventh in the nation in that event, and placed fifth in the event. He is a senior and hails from Dallas, Texas. Perkins and the Chargers will host the 46th annual Hillsdale College Gina Relays this weekend.

 

 

 

 

 

 

GLIAC Men's Outdoor Field "Athlete of the Week":

 

 

Tyler Kreim- Ashland University
Senior -
Shelby, Ohio/Buckeye Central

Tyler Kreim finished first in the javelin last weekend at the All-Ohio Championships. He won the gold medal with a throw of 221-5.  That easily outdistanced the second place finisher – Brian Williams of Cincinnati (207-3). That throw is also the third best in the country this season.  The Eagles finished fourth out of 13 teams.
