The second-ranked Adams State men and top-ranked Grand Valley State women came away with national team titles. It was Adams State’s first outdoor NCAA crown. For GVSU, it was their second-straight outdoor title, completing a second-consecutive sweep of indoor-outdoor track & field championships.

In terms of All-America honors, Adams State and Lincoln (Mo.) led all men’s teams with 17 nods, followed by Saint Augustine’s (15) and Ashland (13). Lincoln (Mo.) also had the most women’s All-America honors with 17, followed by GVSU’s 16 and New Mexico Highlands and Adams State who tallied 12 apiece.

Among conferences, the MIAA received the most men’s plaudits with 36, followed by the Lone Star Conference (33) and RMAC (31). On the women’s side, the GLIAC collected 41 honors, followed by the MIAA (38) and RMAC (30).

Lincoln (Mo.)’s Romel Lewis claimed four All-America certificates. The sophomore collected NCAA titles in the 100 meters and as part of the 4×100 relay. He went on to claim runner-up honors in the 400 hurdles and a third-place showing in the 4×400 relay. Saint Augustine’s James Quarles and Josh Edmonds each picked up three honors while Lincoln’s Sabiel Anderson and Ashland’s Keith Cleveland did the same.

A group of seven women notched three All-America titles, including New Mexico Highlands’ Jillisa Grant, Central Missouri’s Erin Alewine, Grand Canyon’s Shavine Hodges, Central Missouri’s Lindsay Lettow, Abilene Christian’s Lexus Williams, Lake Superior State’s Leslie Mitchell, and Lincoln’s Latoya King.

To earn All-America honors, athletes must have scored any portion of a team point at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. USTFCCCA membership by a program is required to earn All-America awards.
