Wayne State Cross Country Program To "Run For A Cure"

Detroit, Mich. -- To show its support for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Wayne State University men's and women's cross country teams are proud to contribute to the fight against breast cancer with a pledge drive this week.

Warrior runners are soliciting donations (either a flat donation or a pledge per mile ran during the week) to go directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Many of the team members are expected to run between 55 and 85 miles during the week.

In addition, the Warriors will wear pink when they race at the Michigan Intercollegiate Championships this Friday in Hillsdale
