Wayne State's Jimmy Maloney and Ohio Dominican's Tara Walker Chosen As GLIAC Men's & Women's Cross Country "Runners of the Week", Respectively

 BAY CITY, Mich. - Wayne State University senior Jimmy Maloney (Wyandotte, Mich./Roosevelt Bremen) and Ohio Dominican University sophomore Tara Walker (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy) have been chosen as the Men's & Women's Cross Country "Runners of the Week", respectively.

GLIAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week:

Wayne State senior Jimmy Maloney took home his first collegiate individual title Sept. 14th at the Mack Cooper Classic in Slippery Rock, PA. His time of 25:44 paced Wayne State as the Warriors also took home the team title at the Mack Cooper as well.

GLIAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week:

Ohio Dominican sophomore Tara Walker broke her own school record for the second-consecutive week, finishing in a time of 18:21.3 at Friday's National Catholic Cross Country Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame. In a field that featured a dozen Division I schools and 266 runners, Walker placed 24th, which was the third-best time by a Division II runner in the field. The sophomore had set ODU's record a week prior at Ohio Wesleyan when she finished in 19:08.6.
