BAY CITY, Mich. - Hillsdale College sophomore Joshua Mirth (Platteville, Wis.) and Wayne State University sophomore Amanda Brewer (Ionia, Mich./Ionia) have been chosen as the Men's & Women's Cross Country "Runners of the Week", respectively.

Hillsdale College sophomore Joshua Mirth turned in his best race of the 2012 season Saturday at the Lucian Rose Invitational in his home state of Wisconsin. Mirth placed second overall at the meet with a time of 24:59 on the eight kilometer course. It is the same course Hillsdale will run on later this season at NCAA regionals. It was his best eight kilometer course time as well as his highest career overall finish in a cross country meet.

Amanda Brewer
Wayne State University
(Sophomore, Ionia, Mich./Ionia)
Wayne State University sophomore Amanda Brewer finished second overall with a time of 18:03.8, at the Lucian Rosa Invite in Kenosha, Wisconsin.The time was her best of the season and helped the Warriors place second at the event. Brewer has led the Warriors in every race this year guiding them to a #3 regional ranking and a #19 National ranking. The Warrior are ranked nationally for the first time since the end of the 2010 season and have finished no worse that third in any race this year.
