Wayne State's Softball Team to "Strike Out Cancer"

DETROIT -- The 2012 Wayne State University softball team will be hosting the University of Findlay this Wednesday in a key conference doubleheader starting at 3:30 p.m.

Not only will both games be televised live throughout the state of Michigan on XFinity Channel 900, but it will also be "Strike out Cancer" day at the WSU Softball Stadium.

Dr. Suzanna Rocco Dillon, a cancer survivor and a professor within the Kinesiology, health and sport studies department, will be throwing out the first pitch.

In addition, pink hats will be sold to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.

The Warrior softball squad will be wearing pink socks and hats for the twinbill.

Admission is free to both games.
