DETROIT -- Former Wayne State University outfielder Logan White (Brantford, Ont.) will be participating in the Pan American Games as a member of Team Canada.  White was a four-year (2011-2014) letterwinner for the Warriors helping WSU to the 2014 NCAA Division II College World Series (Elite Eight).

A two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American, White was invited to the Canadian Women's National Team Selection Camp in Clearwater, Fla., in December of 2014 and was subsequently named an alternate to the 2015 Pan American Games Team.

White played in seven of Canada's 11 games in the Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championship held in Surrey, British Columbia, earlier this month.  She batted .556 (10-for-18) with five runs scored, three RBI and a stolen base.  White had three multiple-hit games while recording a .579 on-base percentage as Team Canada compiled an 8-3 mark.

Team Canada opens Pan American play on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. against Brazil.  TC will face Cuba on Monday, the United States on Tuesday, Dominican Republic on Wednesday, and Puerto Rico on Thursday.  The playoff round begins on July 24th with the Gold Medal game taking place on July 26th at 11 a.m.
