GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced weekly softball awards following the start of the 2018 campaign. Tiffin junior Jamie Sevenish earned GLIAC Softball Player of the Week honors, while her teammate Tiffin junior pitcher Tiffany Snell captured Pitcher of the Week accolades.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Jamie Sevenish, Tiffin
Tiffin junior Jamie Sevenish was the tablesetter for the Tiffin University offense in their 5-0 week in Spartanburg, South Carolina at the Mid-South Classic. She batted .550 with 11 hits, a .550 on-base percentage, scoring six runs with three stolen bases. She accounted for 25 percent of the Dragons' runs on the trip and had multiple hits in four of the five games played.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK - Tiffany Snell, Tiffin
Tiffin junior pitcher Tiffany Snell factored in nearly every win on Tiffin's 5-0 road trip to Spartanburg, South Carolina at the Mid-South Classic. She posted a 3-0 record with a save along with a sparkling 0.71 ERA over 19.2 innings. She fanned 17 batters while walking only one. She went the distance in both games she started and averaged 6.05 strikeouts per 7 innings.
