INDIANAPOLIS - Heading into this week's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament, Grand Valley State coninutes to lead the NCAA Midwest Region Rankings.
The Lakers are 40-8, while Wayne State (32-21) is fifth and Ashland (33-21) sixth.
GVSU opens GLIAC Tournament play Friday morning against No. 8 seed Ferris State. No. 3 Ashland and No. 6 Wayne State face off at 12:30 p.m. Friday.
Indianapolis (42-12) is second, and the top 10 also includes Missouri-St. Louis, Southern Indiana, Illinois-Springfield, Ohio Dominican, Trevecca Nazarene and Maryville.
