GRAND VALLEY STATE SWEEPS 2016 GLIAC OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS
BIG RAPIDS, Mich. -- Ferris State University hosted the 2016 GLIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 4-6 on the newly renovated track at Top Taggart Field in Big Rapids, Michigan. The Grand Valley State Lakers captured their 17th consecutive women outdoor league championship, while Jerry Baltes' men have won three consecutive GLIAC outdoor titles, including five of the last six. The Lakers have both won 11 men's outdoor GLIAC titles since 1996, besting Ashland's 10.
