GLIAC Men Dominating Top 10 in Latest USTFCCCA Outdoor Rankings

Official USTFCCCA Rankings Release: MEN | WOMEN

(Men's Rankings) —  Adams State continued to make its astounding climb towards the top of the NCAA Division II Men's Computer Team Rankings, released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday, as the Grizzlies found themselves in 3rd for the first time since the 2015 campaign.

Chico State held onto the top spot for the 5th-straight week, while Ashland crept back into 2nd place after slipping to 3rd a week ago. Tiffin held things down at 4th once again, while Saint Augustine's jumped to 5th for its highest ranking this year.

Ashland returned to the spot it held for all but one week so far this year after a slew of strong performances at the Akron-Northeast Ohio Quad meet. Bryn Campbell led the individuals with a hammer throw mark of 65.38m (214-6) that ranks 3rd in the nation (behind his two teammates, Daniel Roberts and Jordan Crayon). Additionally, the Eagles 4×100 relay team put together the 11th-best time on the season at 40.71.

Grand Valley State (7th) also made a significant jump into the top-10 after sitting 13th a week ago.

(Women's Rankings) — Grand Valley State made a serious leap this week, moving up 18 spots to 6th. Kendra Foley recorded the nation's top time in the 10000 meters this past weekend at the Mt. SAC Relays, running a 34:16.01. The Lakers also got 3 other top-10 marks in NCAA Division II.

The 2017 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, from May 25-27. Check back at www.USTFCCCA.org each week throughout the season for updated rankings.
