Ashland's Pringle Earns Fifth USTFCCCA National Weekly Honor

ASHLAND -- Ashland University junior Myles Pringle continues to add to events he most likely will compete in at 2018 NCAA Division II indoor nationals.

Pringle also continues to add to his collection of U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) weekly honors, as he garnered USTFCCCA D-II Men's Athlete of the Week on Tuesday (Jan. 23) morning for the third time this season and the fifth time in his career.

On Friday (Jan. 19) at the Youngstown State College Invitational, Pringle won the men's 200-meter dash in 21.46, good for a provisional time for indoor nationals, March 9-10 at Pittsburg State. He also was a member of the men's 4x400 relay team which provisionaled with a time of 3:14.22.

Pringle is the top-ranked Division II male in the 200 dash, 400 dash (47.00 seconds) and high jump (2.15 meters/7-feet-0½), and the men's 4x4 relay is fourth-best in the country.

Myles Pringle was up to his old tricks once again, dominating the scene in NCAA Division II.

The native of Cincinnati, Ohio, was all over the top-three at the Youngstown State Collegiate Invitational this past weekend, winning the 200 meters with an NCAA Division II leading time of 21.46. Pringle also took home the high jump event title with a mark of 2.06m (6-9).

Pringle also notched a runner-up time of 6.92 in the 60 meters after running a 6.96 qualifying time – just one one-hundredth of a second behind NCAA Division I All-American Chad Zallow of Youngstown St.

Pringle was also helped Ashland finish second in the 4×400 relay that wrapped up with a time of 3:14.22, good for fourth on the NCAA Division II Descending Order List.
