The WDIIB Preseason Player of the Year, Daugherty led the Eagles to a 37-1 record and the 2013 Division II national championship. She topped the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in scoring (22.3) and rebounding (13.7), shot 52.2 percent from the field, and earned the league’s Player of the Year award. On the season, Daugherty had 24 double-doubles.

“Kari is a great talent and had a tremendous year on the court,” said WDIIB editor Gary Rubin. “This award was hers for the taking and she went out and had an amazing season. She is most deserving.”

Daugherty headlines the 2013 WDIIB All-American team, where she was joined on the first team by Bianca Simmons from UMass Lowell, Drameka Griggs of Clayton State, Danielle Wilson of Dowling, and Kelsey Sigl of Colorado Mesa.
