BAY CITY, Mich. - Ferris State University senior guard Sarah DeShone (Elkhart, Ind./Jimtown) and Hillsdale College junior forward Megan Fogt (Anna, Ohio/Anna) have been chosen as the GLIAC Women's Basketball North and South Division "Players of the Week", respectively.

GLIAC North Division Player of the Week:

Ferris State University senior guard Sarah DeShone opened her final campaign by claiming all-tournament team honors at the United Electric Tipoff Classic hosted by Bellarmine University this weekend (Nov. 23-24) in Louisville, Ky. She had a game-high 20 points with four rebounds and four assists in the Bulldogs’ close 64-61 setback in Saturday’s opener against host Bellarmine. On Sunday, she totaled a contest-best 22 points with four boards and three assists in a setback to nationally fifth-ranked Nova Southeastern (Fla.). DeShone averaged 21 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in the two contests while shooting 59% from the floor and 43% from three-point range.

Hillsdale College junior forward Megan Fogt had a record-setting week for the Charger women’s basketball team. She became the first player in school history to score as many as 29 points and grab as many as 27 rebounds in the same game in a 77-74 loss to McKendree Friday afternoon. She came back to lead Hillsdale to a win over Illinois-Springfield the next day with a 27-point, 9-rebound performance. For the weekend, she averaged 28 points and an astounding 18 rebounds per game while shooting 72 percent from the field. Her 27 rebounds vs. McKendree were one shy of the school record and her 29 points in that game were a career-high.
