BAY CITY, Mich. - Grand Valley State University senior guard Dani Crandall (Eaton Rapids, Mich.) and Malone University junior guard Selana Reale (Uniontown, Ohio/Green) have been chosen as the GLIAC Women's Basketball North and South Division "Players of the Week", respectively.

GLIAC North Division Player of the Week:
Dani Crandall

Grand Valley State University senior guard Dani Crandall scored a game-high 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds, three of which were of the offensive variety, to key Grand Valley State’s upset victory over No. 12 Lewis. Candall connected on five field goal attempts and made five free throws in the final 53 seconds to help the Lakers ice away their 67-59 win. Crandall also dished out three assists and notched a pair of steals in 32 minutes of action. Crandall ranks 14th in the GLIAC averaging 14.0 points per game, and is 15th in field goal percentage (55.6).

Malone University junior guard Selana Reale helped the Pioneers remain undefeated with victories over St. Josheph’s College and Ursuline College.  Reale tossed in a game-high 20 points during Monday’s 82-59 triumph over St. Joseph’s after connecting on seven of nine shots shots from the floor. Reale then posted 19 points  on Wednesday as Malone overcame a 13-point deficit in the second half to register a 78-70, combeack win against Ursuline. Reale currently ranks 10th in the conference in scoring with an average of 14.8 points per game. In addition, her 55.6% accuracy from beyond the three-point arc is fifth-best in the GLIAC and she is tied for eighth in steals at 2.2 per outing.
