BAY CITY, Mich. - Northwood University junior guard Sarah Susan (Grand Rapids, Mich./Bryon Center) and Ashland University freshman forward Suzy Wollenhaupt (Beavercreek, Ohio/Carroll) have been chosen as the GLIAC Women's Basketball North and South Division "Players of the Week", respectively.

Northwood Univeristy junior guard Sarah Susan turned in the two best performances of her career last week to open GLIAC play, averaging 26.5 points per game. She finished the week 19-34 from the floor (55.9 percent) and 11-19 from 3-point range (57.9 percent). In Northwood’s win over Hillsdale, she netted a career-high 28 points, going 10-18 from the floor and 5-8 from 3-point range. Then on Saturday against Findlay, she scored a game-high 25 points. She went 9-16 from the floor and 6-11 from 3-point range against the Oilers.

Ashland Univeristy freshman forward
Suxy Wollenhaupt scored a season-high 29 points in 31 minutes
against GVSU. She pulled down seven rebounds and rejected four
shots. Two days later, the Eagles wiped out a 10-point halftime
deficit to beat Ferris State. Wollenhaupt had 16 points, nine
rebounds and a pair of blocked shots in that win. She was 8-for-8
at the free throw line against the Bulldogs. In the second half at
Ferris State she scored 10 points, secured six rebounds and blocked
two shots.
