BAY CITY, Mich. - Northern Michigan University junior guard Alyssa Colla (Muskego, Wis. / Muskego) and Ashland University freshman forward Suzy Wollenhaupt (Beavercreek, Ohio/Carroll) have been chosen as the GLIAC Women's Basketball North and South Division "Players of the Week", respectively.

GLIAC North Division Player of the Week:
Alyssa Colla
Northern Michigan

Northern Michigan University junior guard Alyssa Colla led the Wildcats to a pair of wins over Findlay, 71-66 and at Hillsdale 73-67. Colla led all players against Hillsdale scoring 24 points on 8-15 shooting from the floor including going 2-4 from three and grabbing six rebounds. Against Findlay she scored 11 with seven assists, five rebounds and three steals while going 4-4 from the charity stripe. Colla ranks first in the GLIAC in free throw percentage (94.4%, 34-36). Colla also leads the league in steals, in conference only games, with 12 while ranking fourth in all games (18).

6-1, Freshman, Forward
Beavercreek, Ohio/Carroll

Ashland Univeristy freshman forward Suxy Wollenhaupt averaged 21.0 points per game., 12.0 rebounds per game., 2.3 blocks per game., and 2.3 assists per game. She shot 50 percent from the field and 79 percent at the free throw line. The freshman notched a double-double against New York Institute of Technology (79-69) and she scored a team-leading 26 points against Wayne State University (87-78). She had a pair of 20-point games. In  win against Saginaw Valley State Univeristy, she scored 23 points and posted eight rebounds.
