BAY CITY, Mich. - Wayne State University junior center Shareta Brown (Pontiac, Mich. /Detroit Mercy) and Hillsdale College junior forward Megan Fogt (Anna, Ohio/Anna) have been chosen as the GLIAC Women's Basketball North and South Division "Players of the Week", respectively.

Wayne State University junior center Shareta Brown, the leading scorer in the GLIAC at 21.7 points per game, made 11 of 12 shots from the foul line overall last week. Brown made seven of 11 shots and was 4-for-4 from the free throw line, scoring 18 points and adding nine rebounds in an 88-85 win Thursday at Hillsdale. She sank seven of nine shots from the field and seven of eight at the charity stripe to score 21 points as WSU won its 10th straight game in an 86-80 win at Findlay. She also had eight rebounds, two assists and one steal against the Oilers.

Hillsdale College junior forward Megan Fogt powered the Chargers to a 1-1 record in a pair of dramatic games last week. The national leader in rebounding average scored a total of 46 points and had 28 rebounds in a 3-point loss to Wayne State (88-85) and in a come-from-behind 83-78 win over Saginaw Valley State. In the two games, she shot 64 percent from the field and was 10-for-13 from the free throw line. She also averaged 3.5 blocked shots per game. In Saturday’s win over the Cardinals, her 3-point play with 1:04 to go, gave the Chargers the lead for good.
