BAY CITY, Mich. - Grand Valley State University senior guard Dani Crandall (Eaton Rapids, Mich.) and Ashland University senior guard Alyssa Miller (Zanesville, Ohio/Tri-Valley) have been chosen as the GLIAC Women's Basketball North and South Division "Players of the Week", respectively.

GLIAC North Division Player of the Week:

Grand Valley State University senior guard Dani Crandall averaged 27 points, 7.5 rebounds and two assists in a pair of GLIAC victories last week. In GVSU’s victory over Lake Superior State last Thursday (72-63), Crandall scored 18 points, grabbed five rebounds and handed out three assists. Saturday against Northwood, the Eaton Rapids, Mich. native turned in the best game of her collegiate career. Crandall scored a career-high 36 points, which were the most by any GVSU player since Feb. 26, 2005, and grabbed 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the season to lead the Lakers to a 70-67 victory in overtime.

Ashland University senior guard Alyssa Miler became the 16th player in program history to score 1,000 or more points. in an 88-80 win over Findlay, She had 14 points in the second half to help the Eagles put away the Oilers. In defeating Hillsdale (83-63), the senior had 17 points. She scored 11 points in the second half when the Eagles outscored the Chargers, 49-28. HC had a 35-34 halftime lead. For the week, Miller averaged18.5 ppg., 8.0 rpg., 4.0 apg., and 4.0 spg. She shot 60 percent from the field, 50 percent from three-point range and 73.3 percent from the free throw line.
