BAY CITY, Mich. - Ferris State University senior guard Sarah DeShone (Elkhart, Ind./Jimtown) and Hillsdale College junior forward Megan Fogt (Anna, Ohio/Anna) have been chosen as the GLIAC Women's Basketball North and South Division "Players of the Week", respectively.

Ferris State University senior guard Sarah DeShone tallied 21.5 points, six assists and 4.5 rebounds per game as the Bulldogs swept two opponents this past week in league action. DeShone scored a team-high 16 points and had 10 assists along with three steals as Ferris State upset nationally 21st-ranked Wayne State to keep their postseason hopes alive on Thursday (Feb. 20) by an 85-77 score. She then scored a contest-high 27 points and matched a school-record by hitting seven three-pointers in Saturday's (Feb. 22) 83-75 GLIAC road win at Saginaw Valley State. Additionally, she posted six rebounds, two assists and a steal in the win over the Cardinals.

Hillsdale College junior forward Megan Fogt continued her record-breaking campaign last week, averaging 19 points and 18.5 rebounds per game as the Chargers clinched a berth in the GLIAC Tournament. In the team's games against Walsh and Malone, she shot 69.5 percent from the floor and had her 10th and 11th games of 18 or more rebounds, most in the nation. In the team's Saturday win over Walsh, she shot 8-for-9 from the floor, the ninth time she's shot 70 percent or better from the field in a game this season. Her 37 total rebounds extended her lead in the GLIAC and the nation in rebounding average (16.0 rpg).
