BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced weekly women's basketball awards after the final night of regular season competition. Michigan Tech senior forward Danielle Blake captured GLIAC North Division Player of the Week honors for the second time this year, while Ashland sophomore center Andi Daugherty collected GLIAC South Division Player of the Week accolades for the fifth time this season.

Highlights: Michigan Tech senior forward Danielle Blake made 9-of-11 field goals and all five of her free throws as part of a 23-point night in 28 minutes of action in an 80-38 blowout win over rival Northern Michigan. The senior also had six assists, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Defensively, she held her main defensive assignment to 1-for-12 from the field. |

Highlights: In the regular-season finale at home against Lake Erie on Thursday, Ashland sophomore center Andi Daugherty posted her 13th career double-double with 16 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. She was 6-for-7 from the field, and added four assists and four steals. Daugherty goes into the GLIAC Tournament ranked in a tie for fourth in the league in scoring (15.7 ppg.), seventh in field-goal percentage (53.5) and ninth in rebounding (7.4 rpg.). She is shooting 77.3 percent from the free-throw line, and averages 2.6 assists and 1.5 steals per contest. |
