Three #GLIACWBB Programs Headed to 2017 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The field for the 2017 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship has been revealed and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) will send three programs to the Midwest Regional in Ashland, which begins this Friday, March 10th.

Ashland is the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region and will host the eight-team field. The Eagles are the lone unbeaten team in the country and picked up their second consecutive GLIAC Tournament title on Sunday (March 5) to move to 31-0 on the year. The Eagles will face-off against former GLIAC foe Malone, the No. 8 seed. Malone picked up an automatic berth after upsetting Ursuline in the G-MAC Tournament title game. 

Saginaw Valley State is positioned third in the region and will battle No. 6 Lewis. Grand Valley State is the No. 5 seed and will matchup with No. 4 Ursuline.
