#GLIACWBB -- Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) women's basketball recap summaries from action on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017:

NORTHERN MICHIGAN DEF. SAGINAW VALLEY, 60-52 | BOX SCORE

Lexi Smith lifted the Northern Michigan Wildcats to a 60-52 victory as she went 15-for-15 from the foul line to record 21 points and nine rebounds in the victory. NMU controlled the rebounding battle to the tune of a 47-24 margin and went 31-for-37 from the free throw line. Saginaw Valley did force 28 NMU turnovers and were paced by Hannah Settingsgaard's 14 points in the loss. 

GRAND VALLEY STATE DEF. DAVENPORT, 75-41 | BOX SCORE

Grand Valley State ran out to a big 37-15 lead after the first half of action to cruise to a victory over Davenport. GVSU fired 43.9 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc, connecting on 11 triples. Taylor Parmley and Jenn DeBoer led the Lakers with 16 points apiece, while Natalie Koenig added 13 points.

WAYNE STATE DEF. PURDUE NORTHWEST, 93-61 | BOX SCORE

Wayne State came out clicking on all cyclinders and led 31-9 after one quarter of play. Leading throughout the contest, the Warriors compiled an impressive 50 percent shooting performance from the field to go with 21 assists. WSU controlled the points in the paint battle (48-18) along with a big edge in points off turnovers (30-3). All five Wayne State starters reached double figures scoring with Shannon Wilson's 16 points leading the way.

#18 MICHIGAN TECH DEF. NORTHWOOD, 81-54 | BOX SCORE

A 54.4 percent shooting percentage from the field gave Michigan Tech its eighth victory of the year as the Huskies ran away from Northwood, 81-54. Tech outrebounded NU by a 37-25 margin and owned the paint, scoring 42 points down low compared to Northwood's 16. The Huskies limited the Timberwolves to just 29.8 percent and were led by Kelli Guy's 15 points with Elizabeth Kelliher and Brenna Heise each pitching in 13 points.

TIFFIN DEF. LAKE SUPERIOR STATE, 76-66 | BOX SCORE

Tiffin's Ali Schirmer recorded 24 points and six rebounds to carry the Dragons to a road win over Lake Superior State. TU amassed a 49 percent shooting performance and went 19-for-22 from the foul stripe along with an efficient 7-for-14 shooting from beyond the arc. Tiffin created some distance in the contest with a 20-9 advantage in the second quarter to earn the win.

#1 ASHLAND DEF. FERRIS STATE, 95-69 | BOX SCORE

Ashland forced Ferris State into 32 turnovers which resulted in 38 points as the Eagles ran away from the Bulldogs in the second half. AU scored 40 points in the third quarter to put the contest out of reach. The reigning national champions were led by Jodi Johnson's 23 points while Laina Snyder chipped in with 22 of her own.
